Let me just start out by saying that changing your oil really couldn't be much easier. Just unscrew the drain plug and let it all out. But, for those of us running and Engine/Tranny Skid Plate, this task isn't quite as easy. Suddenly we've got nice chunk of steel in the way and just a little hole to get the oil through.
Well Fram has created the Sure Drain and it makes things so much easier. With the Fram Sure Drain installed you no longer have to worry about getting a wrench and socket up over the skid plate and there are no more funnels to worry about getting aligned. All you have to do is unscrew (all by hand) the Sure Drain dust cover and screw on the Drain Hose. Run the hose through the skid plate oil hole and there's no mess. It really couldn't be any easier.
It couldn't be simpler to install but here's the basic rundown:
1) Remove the factory oil drain plug.
2) Install the new Fram Sure Drain plug.
3) Screw the Fram Sure Drain Dust Cover on.
Using it is just as easy:
1) Unscrew the Sure Drain Dust Cover.
2) Screw the Sure Drain Hose on and drain the oil.
3) Unscrew Sure Drain Hose.
4) Screw on Sure Drain Dust Cover.
That's really all there is to it!
