Rusty's Off Road offers the most complete and highest quality skid plates that can be bought. Specializing in only Jeep skids and under body protection you can count on getting only the very best in design, quality, durability and strength. All of Rusty's skids and body protection are bolt on and only require minor drilling.
Rusty's R & D department starts off using 3-D computer modeling to design every one of it's skids and protection products. Once the products are designed, prototypes are built and go through hours of rigorous testing out on the trail. After hours of beating and bashing the prototypes, It's time for production products. All of Rusty's products are made of top quality steel and cut into shape by a computerized laser, this process insures smooth and precise products. A CNC press brake is used to form and shape the precision cut steel. Certified welders use jig fixtures to insure a precise fit and mig weld all products for maximum strength.
To insure the strength in all of Rusty's Off Road products, 3/16 to 3/8 top quality P & O steel is used. All Rusty's skids are minimum 3/16 thick steel and mounting brackets are 1/4 to 3/8 steel, compared to our competitors 1/8 sheet metal. This gives you peace of mind out on the trail that you won't be damaging expensive drivetrain parts as well as damaging the looks of your vehicle.
After fabrication and welding all parts are re-check for fit. All of Rusty's products receive a durable glossy black powder coating or a zinc plate finish. Quality control inspects each product after all phases of manufacturing, then they are boxed for shipping.
