Rusty's HD Aluminum Steering System for the JK Wrangler works great as a stand-alone replacement upgrade and creates a steering system that is nearly indestructible! Sold as a complete unit that includes the complete tie rod and drag link assemblies with ends, plus a steering stabilizer bracket. Rusty's JK Steering System starts with a massive machined 1.825 diameter solid 7075 T6 aluminum for both the tie rod and the drag link. Equally massive 1.25 threaded zinc plated forged adjustable ends thread into the machined 7075 aluminum with jam nuts and HD steering stabilizer bracket. The tie rod ends on the tie rod come with Rusty's wiper seals to prevent rotation of the tie rod which can lead to a dead spot if the steering flops back and fourth. The massive 7075 aluminum rods are finished up by polishing them to an almost "chrome " finish that will give your vehicle whether a trail queen or a mall crawler a great look.
The JK's factory steering linkage is complicated and features compound angles that don't respond well to lifts over any heights and the system has also proven to have a few weak points.
