Rusty's raised Track Bar Mount for the JK Wrangler is designed for use with a drag link flip or over-the-knuckle steering conversions. The bracket works with factory Dana 30 and Dana 44 front axles and bolts to the stock track bar mount on the axle. In addition to bolting into place, however, this bracket also requires welding. Constructed of 1/4" thick laser-cut steel, the bracket is then CNC formed for a precision fit. This bracket does require the use of an adjustable track bar and also is intended for use with a minimum 4.5 inches of lift. The bracket raises the track bar mounting location on the axle 3.25 inches.
Why does or bracket require welding when it bolts to the factory mount? The raised location of the track bar requires additional strength to ensure a strong, durable mount. Other competitor bracket designs utilize flimsy brackets held in place with U-bolts, which we feel just isn't strong enough for off-road use. Therefore, our bracket must be welded in two places in order to complete the installation. The bracket includes mounting hardware but ships raw (uncoated).
PLEASE NOTE: We recommend a minimum of 4.5 inches of lift when using this bracket and also strongly recommend checking clearances prior to your first off-road trip. Front bumpstop extensions may be necessary to ensure proper clearance. Also note that an adjustable front track bar is required, and that an existing adjustable track bar will need to be adjusted 5/8" shorter than its length in the factory mounting location. If there is less than 5/8" of adjustment available, a shorter track bar will be required.
