High-Steer Arms allow the tie rod to be tucked way up high on top of the steering knuckles, where it is well protected from rocks and other trail obstacles. On SOA (Spring Over Axle) conversions, high-steer arms are often the only way to solve spring-to-tie rod interference and avoid the use of an S-shaped drag link.
These High-Steer arms are designed to be used with Solid Axle Industries' heavy-duty Dana 44 ball-joint knuckles as well as several other popular aftermarket knuckles. These can also be used with some factory Chevy Dana 44 flat-top knuckles, but the passenger side knuckle (make sure it is a flat-top knuckle, which is relatively rare!) will need to be machined to accept the mounting studs. (NOTE: Mounting Stud Sold Separtetly)
